ATTN: ALL VALUED CLIENTS of FJM & ASSOCIATES of BUFFALO INC.
The years following Allstate Benefits (AB) exit from NYS and the ceasing of any new sales of Voluntary Benefits have seen a
relatively seamless transition to Wilton Re, a reinsurance provider to the North American Life Insurance Company. Wilton Re now handles Administrative items such as Billing, Claims, Beneficiary Changes, etc., utilizing many of the same folks who serviced AB NY out of Jacksonville, FL.
(Rest Assured, FJM & Associates will continue to be your Servicing Agents for your AB and any other programs we have introduced over the years. As always, we are only an email or phone call away any time you have questions or need assistance.)
Many of us have experienced first-hand how the events of the past few years have reinforced the Financial Challenges which may be created by Co-Pays, Deductibles, Direct and Indirect Out-of-Pocket Costs, Lost Wages or Final Expenses stemming from a major health event, such as a serious accident or critical illness. These items were never intended to be covered by Major Medical Insurance, which is a product that evolved to assure that Doctors, Hospitals and Medical Facilities would be paid on your behalf.
On the other hand, Voluntary and Supplemental Insurance Programs were designed specifically to play a major role in offsetting these expenses. These unique programs provide Pre-Arranged, Cash-Dollar Payments directly to you (based on specific events or treatments), that may be used anyway you see fit.
For many folks, these benefits function as a type of Financial Safety Net, providing an urgently needed influx of cash to cover daily living expenses. However, since no two people and/or their families have the same Personal or Economic needs, effective
Communication and Education on the selection and use of these programs is extremely important.
As your Insurance and Employee Benefits Broker, FJM & Associates recommends taking a few minutes to review existing and available programs at least once a year. This will help to assure that your Protection Portfolio accurately reflects your current
risk profile with the least amount of impact to your disposable income.
Post-Pandemic, Voluntary Supplemental Insurance has emerged as one of the most requested products today. However, given the current restrictions to your existing Allstate Benefits programs, FJM & Associates did not want to see any our Valued Clients prevented from having access to these programs, so we undertook the intense process of reviewing and vetting Voluntary and Supplemental Insurance Carriers.
Our primary goal in this process was to find a carrier with programs which met or exceeded the high standards of Coverage, Customer Service and Affordable Premiums that FJM & Associates holds all of our Insurance Providers to. Based on our research and evaluation, we are pleased to announce that we selected Colonial Voluntary Benefits (CVB) as our primary carrier for these products.
Colonial Voluntary Benefits is one of the Top-Rated providers of Voluntary Supplemental Insurance today and offers some of the most innovative programs on the market. Over the past couple of years, we have introduced a large percentage of our existing clients to CVB and in most cases they were able to enhance or replace their existing AB programs with better benefits and/or lower costs.
We are also very pleased to announced that due to FJM & Associates’ stellar reputation for writing quality business by always putting our Clients’ needs first, Colonial Life has extended an incredible underwriting offer of Guaranteed Issue (No Medical Questions Asked!) Whole Life, Short-Term Disability and Accident Insurance for all our existing accounts and their employees.
